SAE 1020
Characteristics of Usage and applications
This steel can be used in cemented state, hot rolled or calibrated. It is used for elements in machinery that require great tenacity, as well as a not so elevated hardness.
It is mainly used for vehicle parts and machineries, who are not putunder great mechanical efforts such as axles, links for chains, pins, cemented bushings, screws, bridles, nails for railroads, staples, etc.
